| SAATTUE, which means
on Finnish as much as "prozession", swing the metallic hammer since 2001. While others get with volume eyes clarified from Finland, I could never begin with most mood from the country of the thousand lakes much. But one in front: "Jaeaehyvaesti" is with its throughout Finnish title a disaster to tippern, in music however beyond each doubt! After two in self-direction published EPs looked it in such a way with renewed photographs 2007, as if again a EP would have ran. But spin farm wind of the qualities of the Sextetts equipped with three guitars and in such a way became from the EP that exactly 51 minutes long debut "Jaeaehyvaesti" got. The Doom governed on the Silberling verzierten with simple however styleful Artwork, whereby by the Growls pushing to the hard Vocals also a charge Death can be constituted. One should mine that one can bring thrust properly with three guitars in the back, and exactly SAATUE makes that also: Enormously those of reef from the boxes roll and crush all in its course, good mood including. Because for Finland apparently typically a bitter-sweet sadness is obtained, which packs and with intensive hearing benefit any longer does not leave one loose. Whereby one does not want also at all being released with sluggish crushers like the title TRACK with its melancholischen melody elbows, clear guitar parts and tender Leads. With Ines Lukkanen have SAATUE a superbe guest singer thereby, who 10-minute-borders faraway gothischem Getraeller in rather middle clay/tone situations perfectly to Songs like "Vieraaseen Multaan", "Hyiseen Veteen" or blowing up Depri Trip "Varjojen seed-does" fits. Particularly latter TRACK did it to me, this moving, death-sad Refrain lets around other time of pictures of the own funeral before the internal eye arise. Also the Refrain of "Kaaosmaa", animating to the Mitbruellen, remains hanging lastingly in the hearing. Isolated and much, very dezent one gets key boards to hear, which continue to provide just like the rarely emerging acoustic Klampfen or the rather calm BREAK for alternation in the dark sound picture of the Finns as grave with gift. Not that I would have become by SAATUEs "Jaeaehyvaesti" the glowing Finland trailer, but this album has it in itself. Doom up-to-date and hard, with which each run lets new details discover. For a debut impressing and with security still with much air upward! |

8/10 (Germany) ... Finnish I do not understand... You perhaps? This volume is not easy at all to describe. Language and kind are however most interesting a strange thing for me.... First the album should appear on 23 January. Release was then shifted however on 07 March 2008. Already since 2001 those exists to volume, which published 2004 demo "Kivisydaen". Afterwards the EP "Ikiuneen" followed in January 2006. Both topics went past however at me. The current baby is not to be seized with a hearing run. The foundation-stone in music is very doomig, thus slowly, strong and sluggishly. The singing is quite variable, times growly, times clear, and the guest appearance of Ines Lukkanen is particularly offerful. The whole work is with difficulty melodioes, and by the Finnish language much stretching and soundful, although a quite chopped off language is Finnish. It fits marvelously. The vowel work is to be heard in all audio ranges much thought out and pleasantly. To hear are equivalent 3 guitars. Melody-accompanying to, then with beautiful Soli or also times untwisting. Everything is very harmoniously, although heavy in Marks going. It prevails to emotion despite aggression. The volume integrated all these elements and unites it to the moving SAATTUE sound. Fantastisch!!! |
| Metalland.org (French) Acknowledge it: you dropped PARADISE LOST after "Draconian Times", disgusted to see the Electro direction of "One Second". Since many years you thus languish yourselves to find such a good album of Gothic Dark and extremely fortunately for you, SAATTUE heard your prayers with its last opus, "Jäähyvästi". In the pure line of what the English in their time did, SAATTUE develops very dark Dark Gothic, with guitars very saturated and a song which is not without pointing out that of Mr. Holmes, with more saturated. No fear however, "Jäähyvästi" is not a simple plagiarism, but rather an evolution. The song, filled with emotions, is seen shouldered by a very soft and discrete female song which is involved with wonder in these neat compositions. The group connects the titles without hesitation and losing the wire in spite of a not very common length (5 minutes at least). Almost violent one sometimes, always melancholic person, "Jäähyvästi" leaves without sorrow his pin the play and manages to grab us for almost an hour. Even more, considering you will start again the disc as of the last note... |
